The primary intention of our application process is to make you aware of our expectations before joining The Writers' Block Membership Group. First, we must point out that we are not a book club. We do not meet to read the latest bestseller, nor are we an academic club for lectures, seminars, and the like. The agenda of The Writers' Block Membership Group is to connect authors and readers on an intimate level by providing and hosting events that authors, as well as entrepreneurs, can use as a platform to promote their product, book signings, book launches, meet-and-greets, pop-up shops, etc.. All of our events are family-oriented, and as such, they are drug and alcohol-free.
Before committing, be certain you are able to meet our expectations: a) each member must be a published author, b) each member must pay a membership fee of $20.00 monthly, and c) each member must participate in some of our literary pop-up shops annually if possible. All membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid in full monthly to preserve your membership.
To begin your membership process, submit your membership request to Yvonne James at firstname.lastname@example.org! In your request, state your name and genre, how long you have been an author, a link to your website, Amazon, or social media platform, and why you would like to become a member of The Writers' Block Membership Group? Once your request for membership has been reviewed and approved, you can click select your membership payment plan to begin your membership. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a confirmation email validating your membership.
As a member, you will have a year-round profile listing on our website www.yvonnejames.com, occasionally featured mentions in our newsletter publications, an instant 10% discount on all daily vendor registration fees toward any of our hosted Literary Pop-Up Shops for the first six months. After six months, your discount rate will increase to 15%. These membership perks apply as long as your membership remains in good standing. Per year, after twelve months of consecutive membership, you will receive a $50.00 credit toward any event of your choosing (cannot be used with the membership discount).
